How We Started
In Late 2003, Gunook was formed to design, manufacture and market tools and accessories associated with the Professional Building Trades and DIY'ers. Ron Kay (inventor) became interested in manufacturing a tool holder for cordless drills and pneumatic nail guns because of the inferior products on the market at that time. Most holders were flimsy, being made from plastic and rivets with an aluminum rod, which was too weak to carry an expensive tool. Carpenters complained about the holders breaking often and the expense to replace them. The development of the Gunook (short for Gun Hook), took 3 months to design from the beginning to the first production model. Gunook's “Tool Support Hardware” stands in their own class and sits second to none in durability, strength, effectiveness and value.
